  • ISABELLE DRESS - FABRIC DETAILS & CARE GUIDE

    What fabric is used? 
    92% certified organic cotton & 8% elestane. 

    The organic cotton is farmed in India & arrives for knitting at our Australian supplier. This knitting and dyehouse factory are located in Melbourne and certified by Australian Certified Organic. (ACO).

    What dyes are used? 
    Our dying factory have an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate which gaurantees chemically safe textile dyes are used. 

    How should I care for this garment? 
    Cold machine wash with like colours. Line dry. Tumble dry can cause shrinkage - not recommended. If decorated, do not dry clean or iron.

    What fabric is used? 
    100% French linen.

    What dyes are used? 
    Our dying factory have an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate which gaurantees chemically safe textile dyes are used.

    How should I care for this garment? 
    Cold machine wash with like colours. Do not bleach. Do not soak. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat, store folded. For meticulous care, dry cleaning is recommended.

    What sizes do you offer?
    We currently offer sizes XS - L; which compromises of sizes 6-16. We hope to offer more sizes in the future. 

    If I'm pregnant, do you recommend I wear my pre-pregnancy size or size up?
    We recommend you stick to your pre-pregnancy size. If you feel you need a roomier fit, please ensure you refer to the size guide above.

  • SUSTAINABILITY

    Where are your garments made?
    Very proudly, all of our manufacturing happens right here in Australia. We have worked with a company called Sample Room, based in Melbourne for their full development & production services. 

    Are your warehouses ethically accredited? 
    Yes, Sample Room have gained accreditation from Ethical Clothing Australia since 2015. For more information on Ethical Clothing Australia, please visit https://ethicalclothingaustralia.org.au/

    What material are your swing tags made from? 
    We have consciously created every part of each LM garment. Our swing tags are -

    • 100% recyclable & biodegradable
    • Between 80-100% recycled content
    • Printed using soy-based inks
    • Bamboo string (bamboo requires no chemicals and very little water to grow)

    What materials are your labels made from?
    100% organic cotton and they are manufactured in Australia. 

    What is a Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate in relation to garment dyes used on your apparel?
    This means that the dyes used have been tested for harmful substances. The tests take into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health. The criteria catalog is updated at least once a year and expanded with new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements. 

    Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
    You will receive your LM order in a 100% compostable mailer, wrapped in 100% recyclable tissue paper with a 100% recyclable sticker. All inks used are soy based. The compostable mailer will break down within 90 days in commercial compost and 180 days in domestic compost conditions, including worm farm compost. After degradation, they leave no harmful residues behind. 

  • PRE ORDERS

    How long will I wait to receive something I purchased via pre-order?
    Please check the product detail page for a guide on when the expected delivery date of your order will be available to ship. As soon as the garments arrive in stock, they will be shipped within 24 hours. You will receive an email notifying you that your garments are on their way. If there is any delay outside of the noted window, you will be notified via email.

    What happens if I purchase another garment that is not pre-order in the same order?
    If you’ve purchased a garment via pre-order together with a garment that is in stock, these items will be shipped together once the pre order garment is in stock.

    If you’d like to have the in stock item shipped earlier, please contact lauren@laurenmatthews.com.au. This will incur an additional shipping fee.

    What if I want express shipping?
    Please email lauren@laurenmatthews.com.au as soon as you place your order to arrange this and ensure you quote your order number.

    Can I pre-order garments if I am not in Australia?
    Yes, absolutely. Unfortunately, we cannot currently offer free international shipping for pre-order but you can absolutely purchase our garments!

  • ORDERS, SHIPPING & RETURNS

    What is your returns policy?
    We understand that sometimes garments need to be returned or exchanged for a number of reasons. We are happy to provide you with a refund (minus postage costs), or exchange so long as contact is made with us within 7 days of your order being shipped. Garments must be:

    • Returned in their original condition with all tags attached
    • Sent back within 14 days of receiving your order
    • Not be worn, washed or damaged
    • A Return Authorisation Number has been approved by LM and is accompanied with your return

    We ask that return postage is paid for by the customer. However, should we be sending out an exchange after receipt of your returned goods, we will cover the standard postage cost to ship new goods.

    How long does it take to process a return?
    Returns/refunds may take up to 10 business days for your bank to complete. All accepted returns/refunds are applied to the original card or method of purchase.

    Do I have to pay for postage if I return an item?
    We ask that return postage is paid for by the customer. We strongly recommend using a traceable postage method when returning/ exchanging goods.

    However, should we be sending out an exchange after receipt of your returned goods, we will cover the standard postage cost to send out new goods.

    Please note that the compostable mailer you received your LM apparel in is reusable and can be resealed to send your goods back to us.

    How do I exchange?
    Please contact lauren@laurenmatthews.com.au to request a Return Authorisation number and return postage address.

    Please confirm in the email what alternative size you’d like to change your goods for.

    Please all up to 14 days for exchange. All exchange goods are shipped out via standard shipping.

    How much does domestic shipping cost within Australia?
    We ship all goods with Australia Post. Please choose at checkout whether you'd like your goods sent via Standard shipping or Express Shipping.

    Standard shipping: $9 flat rate

    Express shipping: $12 flat rate

    Do you offer free shipping?
    At this stage, we are unable to offer free shipping. Thank you for understanding & supporting a small, Australian made business.

    How fast is your shipping?
    PLEASE NOTE THERE MAY CURRENTLY BE DELIVERY DELAYS DUE TO COVID19. These are out of our control & we appreciate your patience & understanding.

    We ship all goods with Australia Post. Please choose at checkout whether you'd like your goods sent via Standard shipping or Express shipping.

    Standard shipping: Orders arrive in 3-6 business days depending on your location.

    Express shipping: Orders arrive in 1-5 business days depending on your location.

    All orders placed before 12pm will be shipped the same business day. Orders placed after 12pm will be shipped next business day.
